Thing #11 Slide Show- Wild Animals Edition

So, I decided to make my slide show about animals, and I wanted to include animals that we do not see that often, like Ocelots, Snow Owls, and Tarsiers (which are the cute little animals with BIG eyes!). Here's the slide show I made about Animals, this is the beginning of what I will work on for my First Graders when they study animals in the last nine weeks.

  1. These are some great photos of animals, and like you said, some that your students may have never seen. I don't think I've ever seen a tarsier before.. well maybe on "Go, Diego, Go" once...kind of reminds me of a chinchilla. Great idea, and then I bet your students would want to search out even more unknown animals and photos! Maybe write some names of rare animals and then some other different names of items/animals, etc. and let them pull a name out of a hat and guess if it is an animal or some other thing, then have that student type the name on the strip into Flickr and see what comes up.

  2. The penguins are my absolute favorite out of all your images!!!! Are you going to use the slideshow as your opener for the unit? Are you going to have them guess the animals? I can see so many different ways to use this slideshow!
